Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a native of Minsk Belarus, which is the capital. Belarus. Her father Sergey (d. in 2019) was an Ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on May 5, 1998 in Minsk Belarus. Over the course of her career, she's had 12 WTA singles titles, including an Australian Open Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. She is also an excellent doubles player she has two Majors to her name in this specialty the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both by Elise Mertens. In 2019, she took home both in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partners, making what is known as the Sunshine Double. Just four pairs of women's tennis have achieved this feat. She went from 2nd to third in world singles rankings on 23 August 2021. Her highest rank came in the month of January in 2023. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles tournament in February 2021 and gaining the doubles title, she managed to climb up the rankings to claim the first position in that specialty. The coach she was working with was an ex- Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the close of the 2019 season and partly towards the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann became her trainer from the month of August through September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman is coaching her from the year 2020. Her idols are Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
